I was wondering if any of your buses would take disabled people in wheelchairs as some of the service users I work along side would enjoy the experience.

    Thank you

    • Regret none of our buses are fully wheelchair accessible – this only started to be a design feature of buses in 1990s. Some of the buses will be slightly easier than others to board but would not be able to carry someone seated in a wheelchair. I will drop you an e-mail about this so we can discuss further.

Hi I was wondering if you could tel me what times will Old Buses be cone ting with Taunton railway station on the Taunton running Day on the 8th may 2016 so will know what train & what time to go up there many thanks & I hope to here from you very soon. Tony

    • Thanks for the message. Will be finalising this in the next week or so, but in past years, the service to / from Bishops Lydeard has provided a link with the railway station every 20 minutes through the day; we have also run a shuttle from the railway station to the bus station from 0930, and back to the railway station until after 1700.

Intention at this point is to do something similar, but I want to look in to train times first, rather than time buses so they will just miss trains!

Will post more information up very soon.

Are dogs allowed on the buses?

    • Broadly speaking, yes. However, the buses are owned by different individuals / groups, so it’s at owner’s discretion (or their conductor or driver) so can’t guarantee for every bus. But don’t think we have had any issues in the past.

Hope you (and your dog) enjoy the day!

    hello there.

i shall be attending your bus rally this year and i was wondering if there is list of current confirmed buses for the event and will tanuton Hamilton road garage be open?

    cheers
    tom

    • We hope to get the initial list of ‘service’ buses up on the website in the next few days.

We are still talking to Buses of Somerset about the Hamilton Road garage – there will be something happening there but may not be quite the same as the last couple of years. Again, more information to follow soon.

      Hope you enjoy the event.
