2017’s Event

Many thanks to everyone who came to the fifth Taunton Vintage Bus Running Day and Display on Sunday 14 May 2017 – the biggest event yet with mostly fine weather (apart from a brief shower at lunch time).

Over 30 buses and coaches, ranging from the 1930s to 1980s ran in service, and another 20 + were on display.  (A list of buses operating can be seen here)

Our apologies to anyone unable to buy a programme – we have never sold out before!

Thanks in particular to Buses of Somerset, for use of Taunton Bus Station and their assistance in publicising and running the event.

Attractions included Tramway and Light Railway Society model trams in the Museum of Somerset

A proportion of the proceeds from the day have been donated to Prostate Cancer UK, First Group’s ‘Charity of Choice’ partner – more here.
